Kaolin is used as one of the raw material in manufacturing of fiber glass, as an filler. It is used in production of continuous filament fiberglass. Higher Alumina content, Lower Iron content & Lower Alkali content are some of the key requirements for qualification of kaolin in fiberglass formulation. These factors influence the resistance properties considering physical / chemical attack, along with viscosity during production process.
